If gameplanning has a role in this award than the Kings should get consideration. For having Malone? Original yet played out. Sorry man but you're not Balls.

I'll state my case since I was "given" the award last year, maybe I "earned" it this year. I won GMOY* last year and still improved my record by 10 games and went from a shitty 6 seed to tied for the best record in the league. It was a combination of moves that took me from non-contender to respectable last year, and another combination of moves that took me from respectable to elite this year.
I drafted Toni Kukoc who has turned out to be a perfect bench player for my team who has a PER of 19 in 26 mins and the only All-Rookie 1st teamer who doesn't start. I signed Hot Rod Williams to a modest 1.8M contract, who has a PER of 17 in 24 mins, he has been a great backup and even filled in while Zo got hurt and was resting. He played starters mins in 21 games and we went 13-8. Traded 2 picks in the late teens for Bimbo Coles a 25 year old blue/blue PG making 6.1M over the next 4 years, and is the perfect PG for this team, plays defense and passes the ball. Traded for Terry Porter mid season completing my team. I now have 3 guys coming off the bench that are capable of starting.
I have 8 players with an above average PER (if you still consider a PER of 15 average), 7 players who average double digit points, I led the league in 4 statistical categories (Points, Def Rebounds, Assists, Blocks), I'm 2nd in offensive efficiency and 1st in defensive efficiency (the stats that matter due to pace), and I'm the only team with a double digit margin in those two categories.
With how it went down last year I don't expect your votes, but I would like to remove the asterik. If I don't win I won't complain and continue to post and disrespect whoever does, I'll say congrats and move on.

Only reason it's still on there is because you think it is. You only played your game and got enough votes to win. You did nothing wrong and don't deserve an asterisk. You earned that award because you won the award, plain and simple. I know how it feels when the sometimes excessive ribbing and ridiculing "for fun" never seems to end. It gets old. So in all serious, you won it, you deserved it.

Just to clarify, I am not throwing my hat into the race this year. I know y'all were wondering.

My top two picks were from the West. And they were separated by not very much. Hope no one complains "I got it wrong"
