How many chances do we get to negotiate with a soon to be FA? How many offers to we get to send back to him before its final?
Just one?
Many?

Should we make an immediate decision on these extensions when the message arrives, or do we have time? Will waiting increase the chance of the player pulling the offer?

How many chances do we get to negotiate with a soon to be FA? How many offers to we get to send back to him before its final? Just one? Many? This is some of the things we will soon find out. From what I understand you have the whole season to "negotiate", but the player can and will at any point decide he will no longer negotiate and test FA. My best suggestion is that if you really want them, then I wouldn't low-ball. When you reply with offers I will input them and then let you know when I hear anything from the players. This will be going on in the background during the sims. So there is no deadlines or whatnot. This is your responsibility to tend to. You reply to the PM and your part is done and I will notify you of any extensions agreed to or anything else that goes on during your negotiations. As far as how many. Not sure about that either. I'm not even sure that I will get a reply from every player the very next sim. But you will know exactly when I know. Hope I answered a little bit..lol

No from what I've seen the offers stay the entire regular season. And you can do nothing if you like. No rush, no hurry. It's all up to you. You know how much time you have for the season and you go from there.

All PMs have been sent out. If you didn't receive a PM then you have no players who want to negotiate. Also keep in mind that if you have any trades in the works or whatever that this could play a big part in those discussions. No one else will know what your players are asking for unless you tell them. I will only speak about certain players with the team they belong to. Please do not send me a message asking to know what so and so is wanting from team A. I will not tell you. You want to know, you ask that GM.
When you reply with an answer to the PM I will enter them. There is no deadline nor will I delay ANY function of the season while you decide. You now have the offers and it's your responsibility to send a reply.

Is the money indicated on the PM the 'life' of the extension?
For example: Player X - $1,000,000 - 4 years
Is that $250k per or $1M per?

The number I've given you is the "total" of the contract extension. And it's not exact as far as same amount every year. It's slightly graduated. But I typed every message by hand. No copy and pasting. The amount of each year isn't happening.

For players acquired after mondays sim on the last year of their deals, would we still be able to sign them when they have played or would we have to wait a sim or 2 to pass to sign them or will the Negotiator agent bring it up?

You will be able to negotiate with your newly acquired player IF that player was negotiating at all. Also if the previous GM makes an offer to that player, that could affect what the player does and affect your negotiations. Simply ask the negotiator after the trade is finalized to let you know what the player was asking for. The negotiator CAN tell ANYONE if a player is negotiating, but may not relay specific information about the negotiations.

Will these offers always be there? What if we lowball back can they get mad and decide not to resign at all? Or no matter what this is the absolute "worst" offer we can resign these guys at?

If GM A agrees to extend, is it announced to league? - I beleive it should be in case of a sneaky GM signing a player to an extention then trading without other GM knowing(with BeeBall gone, this probably won't happen anyway. lol) By the way, this is AMAZING. just another dimension to the game and in season management. I like it.

I like it. Once the player is traded, does the new team get the same PM to negotiate? No you won't get a new PM. But here's what you would do. If you trade for a new guy and want to negotiate, simply send the negotiator a pm asking if the guy you traded for is negotiating and he will tell you what the player is asking for. If GM A agrees to extend, is it announced to league? - I beleive it should be in case of a sneaky GM signing a player to an extention then trading without other GM knowing. Yes it will be announced in the in season negotiations thread. But only when the player accepts. Which means this, if player A wants 2 mil over 4 years and you say "ok give it to him". I then still have to input that offer. It's still an offer that they have to accept. Have I seen a player turn down an offer for exactly what they want? No I have not. And usually they will accept whenever the next SIM is. So yeah there is a whole bunch of added wrinkles in the game now with the inclusion of this process. Should be interesting.

I don't want anyone to trade for a bench player to find out they signed for 5 years 7 million after the fact. lol I'm excited.

What if you tell them to eat on this? I don't get it. Why would you want them to eat an Xböx Öne?

What if a player doesn't offer to negotiate, does he become a Unrestricted FA at the end of the season? I sure hope not.

Meh, kind of sucks but i don't know enough yet to comment. Sucks big. There are 3 players I want to keep, but with the new negotions, I won't even have a chance to bid on them without FA competition. I guess everyone faces the same thing unless they are super lucky and their players offer to negotiate, which is totally backwards to how it really works. GMs should be initiating the negotiation with the players they want. I'm not trying to be "Mr. Negative" I've been casted as, just something I thought of when research my cap sitatution for the one player that actually offered to negotiate.
