Nominate, pimp out, spread the word about who you think deserves 6th Man of the Year for the 1993-94 season. Remember: to be eligible for this award, the player must have come off the bench more than he started games this past season. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Voting ends DC LOCK of LAST REGULAR SEASON SIM.

Johnny Newman (links)14.7 PPG in just 26 MPG with a 17.9 PER "True" sixth man (came off bench behind Williams/Elie/Lynch) rather than "starter put as a sixth man to try to win this award."

Jamal Mashburn has been great as a rookie off the bench. 25.9 mpg, 13.2 ppg, 5 rpg, 2 apg, 15.9 PER. Monster Mash may have 1.5 ppg lower than but he's +1.5 in rebounds.

I guess I'll throw my guy in there: PF/C Wayman Tisdale. -28.5 mpg -17.1 ppg -6.1 rpg -18.9 PER
The guy's a highly underrated beast. I felt that my team needed something off the bench at the start of the season, and wasn't keen on trotting out a 6'9" starting Center and 6'8" starting PF again, so I decided to make Wayman my 6th man, and he has delivered. Even though I decided to rebuild halfway through the season, I feel that he has been a huge part of what little success my team has had. If I can somehow slip into the playoffs, Wayman's huge contribution to my 3-man frontcourt will be a big reason why I did.

I'll throw a guy in there.
The Ultimate Warrior.
His career wasn't very long but he was as good as it got for his time in the circuit, but you know what they say, the brightest stars burn the shortest.

Touche'. Ultimate Warrior, better stated. I don't think we have an active Knicks owner which is a shame.... I want Starks.

TrayWithAnA's 6th Man of the Year Cheat Sheet
I picked the 6th Man from each team, added their PER, and posted for your enjoyment. I choose your 6th man completely based on the eye test and if they currently sit at less than 41 games started. They are sorted by the current divisional standings.

In my opinion, the strongest argument can be made for these guys.
Cliff Robinson - 20.8 PER and only started 2 games all year. 13.2 points a game isn't the strongest among these candidates but averaged 5 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 1 block a game Terry Porter - 10.9 ppg, 5.7 apg, and 1.6 spg equal a 19.9 PER. Also, that +/- or 2.9 is a fairly good argument on the leagues best team. Wayman Tisdale - 17.4 ppg is the highest in this group, but that's not all. 6.3 rpg and 0.9 bpg round out a very impressive stat line for the year. Gheorge Muresan - 6 ppg, 4.4 rpg, and 0.9 bpg is a strong line for this 16.7 mpg center. Johnny Newman - 18.4 PER in 25.8 mpg because of a solid nightly average Kevin Gamble - 16.1 ppg, 4.1 rpg, 2.6 apg, and 1.1 spg at the 3 for an 18.2 PER on the year
I know that is 6 of the 29, but in all likelihood, I see the computer's choice coming from this list too.

It doesn't seem like anyone is interested in voting for Monster Mash but I'll give an end of season update for him anyway for any last minute voters like me. 27.5 mpg 14.2 ppg 5.4 rpg 2.2 apg 16.2 PER
