This is a thread where active and able GMs can post if they are interested in participating as a mentor for new GMs. The purpose of a mentor is help guide new GMs through the trials and tribulations of dawn of their Sim League careers. Veteran GMs can post here if they are interested in mentoring in general or if there is a specific GM they would like to mentor (i.e., if you see a team that is going through a situation familiar to you, be it SLOE PBSL or PR). These GMs can open correspondence with new GMs and give them tips or offer advice to them about free agency, trades, gameplanning, etc.
There is no point of bringing new GMs in if we just let them come in and "sink-or-swim" it. Interest can wane and those teams could soon again become vacant.
Note: just because you didn't invite the person does not mean you don't have to mentor them. If interested, please post in here!

Also, new GMs do not have to be limited to only one mentor. Multiple opinions on gameplanning and outlooks are good to have. This also allows us to create a more welcoming environment, and help indoctrinate new GMs into the league more quickly.

I'd like to help as the guy who was most frequently trade raped in the old league. I think I've learned to be more careful with trades.

I had to sink-or-swim on my own. Now I can breast stroke at an Olympic level.

my advice to the new guys. Don't talk to BSH, WIG, Darth on any trades until after 1 season. They know more than you, and will make you look like a dumbass.
