We're more than halfway through an exciting year in PBSL basketball! Every GM has been actively pouring their heart and soul into their team. But what about the fans? Are they doing the same?
Below is a list of attendance ranked by highest average attendance per game.
Great job to the Pistons and Bulls for averaging over 20,000 fans per game! Detroit and Chicago sure love their basketball, even if the product isn't ideal. Kobe Bryant and Steve Smith sure are big draws!
Of course, we know that sheer numbers doesn't tell the whole story. After all, not every arena can pack 20,000 fans a night. Some arenas are teeny tiny, like the Pacers or Heat. So let's take a look at attendance sorted by capacity of the arena filled!
Great job by Dallas, Miami, and the surprising LA Clippers! I guess the Lakeshow isn't where all the stars go, hmm?
A few observations:
I hope you enjoyed this spotlight on team attendance!

A few observations:
- The Grizzlies have the lowest average attendance and are third in lowest capacity filled. It's clear the fans in VanMemphis know that the owner has kept his effort the same over the past few years, and they don't appreciate the lack of effort!
- Twelve teams don't have club seating. Three teams don't have any suites. Two teams, the Wiz and the Mavs, have neither. I guess those teams really don't want to make their fans feel comfortable, but if I were watching Penny Hardaway put up ungodly stats every night, I probably wouldn't care too much about my surroundings either.
- Good on the fans of the Knicks, Clippers, Rockets, and Hawks. Losing record? Who cares! They pack the stadium every night anyway!
- Before December 30th, when the Cavs acquired Eddie Jones, they were the lowest attendance in the league, even posting a low of under 10,000 fans against the Nets. But since the Jones trade, they've only had attendance below 14,000 once, when the Bulls came to town. Eddie Jones is a star attraction!
- The Sixers need to hire some marketing execs ASAP. They're filling less than 80% of their stadium, but they're also filling only half of their club seats and barely over a third of their suites, by far the lowest mark in the league.
I hope you enjoyed this spotlight on team attendance!
