Mayor Ford: Ladies and Gentlemen, on behalf (*sniff) of the great state of Toronto, I proudly (*sniff) present to you, the ambassador of Toronto Basketball, and my personal "drinking" buddy, Drake! Drake: Yeah! A-ha! We killing it here. Look at all the people. I love you all. All 4 of you. But this team, man, this team. We started from the bottom, man, now we here! We on the verge. Up and Coming. Bout to break through. And let me introduce you to the guy that's gonna make it happen. Yeah! Here's Gm Soun Dwave! GM Soun Dwave: Yeah, um, thanks Drake. Well that sucked. I'm not talking about the intros, I'm talking about last season. It was not pretty. But we are thrilled with our draft. We were blessed to move up and get the 3rd pick of the lottery to select Chauncey Billups. He will be our general for years to come. We are thrilled with his size, defense, and playmaking ability. We also know his scoring touch will come with time. I also do not want to leave out Tim Thomas. He is very young and will take some time to grow but his potential is through the roof. We will have to be patient with him and patience is not a problem around here. That's the major point of our rebuild. Patience. We currently envision having a beastly 1-2-3 lineup in the future. And with plenty of cap space, decent amount of picks, and a little luck we believe we can get this ship going. The last guy I want to talk about is our superstar, Michael Finley. Rob, Drake, how'd you like that training camp Finley just had?
Yeah, I liked it too. He is gonna be dangerous. Just a straight up killer. Speaking of killer, that's one hell of an evil mastermind type grin there Rob. ANYWAYZ, I'm about done here so I'll open the floor to questions.

June Bug Johnson San Antonio Sentinel - What are your expectations this year? Michael Finley TC was nice how do you feel about his improvement and purple potential?

Why in the world do you have an 11-year-old as your drinking buddy, Mr. Ford? Are Canada's drinking laws more lenient (and if that's the case, why does LoCo want to leave)?
*serious face*
All right, let's take it back to the draft, 11th pick. You took Tim Thomas. What caught your eye and led you to take him, as he wasn't even regarded as a lotto pick until right before the draft?

Our expectations are player improvement and that's it. We want our young guys to improve and once we see that out of them then we can start looking at the standings. We love Finley. I'm not sure we even knew what we were getting from the trape happy Bucks when we made that deal. He is currently one of only 12 purple (future) potential guys in the league. We are actually afraid of him going purple too fast cause we have more money to spend on training for him. We would also like to give the Bucks and Spurs a big thank you for the pick that landed us Tim Thomas in this draft.

What caught your eye and led you to take him, as he wasn't even regarded as a lotto pick until right before the draft? Rob Ford: Dude, Canadia is awesome. You *sniff* can "drink" with whoever you want. And Drake is the coolest 11yo in the world. GM Soun Dwave: That 11th pick was one that we went back and forth on for about 1 excruciating hour. We immediately felt like we made the wrong choice up until TC. We loved Pollard's rebounding and post D and both are areas that we desperately need. But Tim's potential and scoring won out. We have made a bit of a culture change here in the last few years. We are valuing scoring much more than we have in the past. The name of the game is to outscore the opponent. And having Tim eventually in the starting lineup can give us a huge size advantage with Chauncey and Finley at the 1 and 2. Tim's versatility also helped make the decision. We still aren't sure if he is a SF or a PF, and we don't think he knows. But it doesn't matter because when he matures he will be able to score from anywhere.

Eazy is a 36 Honestly most of Finley's rise was expected, but it did go slightly above expectations. We did not think that many B's would go to A's. There is still work to be done but his 10 point rise in Inside scoring meant we could use the money that would have been spent there on defense. We expected only about a 5 point raise, but 10 blew us away.

Chauncey Billups and Finley can be one of the best, if not the best, 1-2 combo in a few seasons if their development keeps up. With the type of youth you have it's no wonder why the Raptors are switching focus from big men to scoring, but old habits die hard so when can we expect you to get that center or power forward that will put your team into division champ status? Think it will come from trade, the next draft, or upcoming free agency?

Sterling Archer, danger zone, what would you say your ideal finished product would be in terms of build?

They will present themselves. Most likely in the draft, (we were so close to landing Fortson but another GM played favorites and took a much lesser deal). What the draft does not provide, FA and trades will. I don't think division Champ status is too hard to obtain in this division right now. All of us are just a player or 2 away from winning the Central.

Sterling Archer, danger zone, what would you say your ideal finished product would be in terms of build? Big, fast, and athletic. That is all we can hope for. I honestly believe if those 3 things can be acquired then my coaching staff can give us a shot. We had some near misses in FA that ended up being a good thing for the long run of this team. I hope to have 4 or maybe even 5 max level contracts on this squad in the future cause that means we are doing something right. But as we have already showed, we will not overpay guys unless they meet our strict standards. Some may call it frugal, we call it smart.

Will Maukie, BucksNation.Geocities.com. Trade winds a-blowing. Any truth to trading Finley back to Milwaukee for Rick Fox, cash considerations, and a pick?
