Beginning today until the last sim of the season, feel free to post stats, in-season achievements, moves made, pictures, biographies... Whatever it is that makes your yourself stand out above the rest of the GMs. Please keep your "pimping" relevant to the award thread you are in.
NEW RULE FOR THREADS: You are allowed to make one post about yourself (edits of your original post will be allowed). There will NOT be any goading or attacking other candidates to create nonsense drama like previous years. Any additional BS posted in threads will be deleted. The campaigning period officially ends when the sim occurs.
Voting period starts Friday 9/26 post-sim and will be due by Monday's (9/29) DC Lock. No exceptions!

Firstly, let me say that the outpouring of support has been humbling. (Raby, Darth, Pauly, and anyone else that have spoken out, a sincere thank you). If anything, it's lured me into a false sense of security that I know what I'm doing. The playoffs certainly have the opportunity to leave me even more humbled. But there's that word. Playoffs. We made it. For the first time under my reign. The numbers: After winning 28 games in each of the last two years. Our record sits at 46-32. With a little better injury luck, that's a 50-win team easy. We sport a positive score differential, are in the top 6 in Offensive Efficiency, Steals, Turnover % and 18th in Defensive Efficiency (a fucking feat when we're starting LJ and Weatherspoon). And we're deep as fuck. I didn't see us obtaining that one superstar, so I tried to build a sea of green. A team that absolutely has a chance in every game we play - and we showed that by beating the Warriors in OT the first sim of the season. Throughout the season we made a couple of defensive upgrades at Center and Wing obtaining Causewell and Anderson. Who will both be on expiring contracts next season. We have fielded a deep, competitive team, but without hamstringing our long-term financial liabilities or diving (too far) into the luxury tax. To be honest, there are better GMs out there. Darth has another shot at a title. No one wants to play the Lakers in the playoffs. The Spurs and T-Wolves have loaded young teams. The Pacers win 50 every year. The Hawks and Kings are going through really smart re-builds. Conroy built a team 4 years ago that should merit GMOY consideration every year for it's sustainability. The Knicks took a shot with Reggie. My likely playoff round 1 opponent, the Blazers, built a winner. Even Bo made some savvy moves. Anyone I left out shouldn't feel slighted, the list is just so long because so many guys have done great things. We have 28 GMs that all participate most days. Every single one has done the pick'em at least once this year. Quailman and other Shadow-Council'ers keep track of points, and ensure rules are being followed. There are a lot of GMs that make this league the awesome, which is why I geek out and end up talking about sim league with random friends that couldn't give 2 shits. But since we have to pick someone, if you want to vote for me, I'll take it. Thank you. I think I definitely deserve consideration. And if I win, I promise to only use the points for good

I don't deserve it and probably should get W(orst)GMOY for how everything followed with the Gugs situation but i'll nominate myself.
Looking at a wall of uncertainty to begin the season and a completely different roster (again), Acquired Daugherty from the Grizzlies and traded for Gugliotta for what was considered at the time the Trape of the season + Rick Fox. I even kept Theo Ratliff. That was cool. Also managed to get Derek Fisher as well in the redo Gugs trade.
But, playing with essentially a backup point guard and very little depth on the wings, I acquired rebounding czar, Dennis Rodman from the Hawks and got some complimentary pieces from Toronto in Montross and Malik Rose and somehow turned what could have been a Tim Duncan esque pick that Darth has into a playoff team for the third straight season incredible enough.
Ryan deserves this award as much as anybody here but if you wanna consider me also, that'd be cool to.

On a serious note, I'd like to add my name to the discussions. I know what you're thinking, "NOLa., you're an obvious candidate who suffered some setbacks but your time hasn't come." I hear you loud and clear but consider me for what I will become, not what I am now. When the KZ&P monster dies (Kemp, Zo, and Penny) only the true King will tower triumphantly tall! Legends and lore of Camby slaying the lands of SLOE will spread from one shitty sim league to the next and they will flock, FLOCK I SAY, to watch the Kings rule the mighty Pacific beasts. The time is coming, and no douchebag weekend warrior traveling by boat on a lake at supersonic blazing speeds will stop the Kings. (Editors note: fit the entire pacific division in one sentence)
NOLa. for GMOY*
