Here is the predicament. On Skype, I get to hear all of the results, but much like the others I am sure, I am only listening for my team. With my team, I know the story that each sim tells about my team. Which of my rivals are on the docket? How will this sim shape the spot my team hold in the standing? What players have been stepping up lately and what changes to your gameplan are anticipating paying off dividends? It is too late for you to tell me these things after the sim, and before you know it, the season is over and so is your chance to tell your team's story.
So i propose a new forum for this. These threads will be posted on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday and will give you an opportunity to tell us why that particular sim is important to your team. I want to have a reason to be concerned about every team's sim. So tell me and the rest of the league here.
First up, Weeks 19 and 20, March 6, 1994 to March 19, 1994.
Go.

I was just jumping on top that dogpile as usual I thought this would be an interesting idea. I want a reason to check other people's sim. We don't have records to break and stuff like that so I would like to know when a team has some of those underlying stories. Hell, make them up if you want. Say your starting PG has impregnated your rival's equipment manager's sister and that's why he'll have a huge game against them that sim. I don't care, just make it interesting.

The remainder of the season is a battle for my preseason prediction. It took me half of the year to get the build that I needed with my team, but now I have a team that can win most games. That being said, I can't be taking losses to people such as the bucks. More than half of my games are on the road. I have not been a good road team all season, but this sim allows me to show how my new team is able to overcome not being at home. I have some good teams I'm playing in this sim, but if I want to be a playoff team, I have to beat the good ones.

Things I am watching about my Hawks this sim:
1. Can we stay over .500? Our schedule has been a little road-heavy all year and it comes to a head here - we'll have played 8 more road games than home at the end of this sim. The bright side? If we stay above .500 we are set up for a nice finishing kick with 13 of our last 18 at home.
2. This sim we get a chance to either lock up a playoff spot or muddy our playoff future. Two games each against the Nets, Wizards, and 76ers. Winning both games against any one of those teams goes a long way toward locking up a playoff spot. A bad sim with losses in all of those games and we could fall out of the playoffs.
3. Health. Newman started the season hurt. Lynch spent time on IR in the middle of the year. Last sim I had to sit Williams due to injury. Can we stay healthy (knocks on wood) and see what our full team plays like?

I'm battling for top seeds. This sim has 8 games for me. Face teams like the Kings, Heat, Blazers, Sonics, and Spurs. Also still figuring out how to reincorporate Detlef into the gameplanning.

I kind of like this idea but I also feel like I get this by reading the responses to the results thread. You should care about the Blazers sim because we are fighting for a playoff spot and are only 1.5 games ahead of the Jazz for the 8 seed and .5 games behind the Sonics for the 7 seed. We play both the Jazz and the Kings this sim, two teams that have destroyed us historically and two teams that we desperately need to beat.

The Pacers have started to plateau again late on in this season. The coaching staff has implemented a slower pace and shortened out the rotation to combat this. We really really want the division this year and theres a couple cupcakes on our schedule so we expect to win those games handily. Our road woes continue so if we can improve there and steal a few road wins that will help majorly in our quest. From a personnel standpoint Stacey Augmon didnt have a great sim last sim, it was more so Dee Brown and Patrick Ewing leading the charge but whatever works. Also need to keep the fouls down with our key players, we cant afford to be losing them due to foul trouble.

the Hornets finally have a fully healthy squad this sim and hasn't happened since the first game of the season. Lets see if the good fortune continues.

Why should you care about my team, Tray? Simple. You're fighting for the #1 seed. I'm fighting for #8. Get the picture?
