So here's my shameless plug for Detlef. Obviously the Hawks are built around the skills of Magic Johnson... but in order for our bench not to give leads back, I found Detlef invaluable coming off the bench once I moved him out of the starting lineup. It made my starters a bit weaker, but my bench stopped giving leads back. His +/- rating of +8.7 per game usually comes when my starters are out and he's playing with the likes of LaSalle Thompson, Frank Brickowski, and Elliott Perry. EJ scored well off the bench, no question - but Detlef did everything for me... he was 2nd on the Hawks in rebounding (8.4) and assists (4.5). He played both forward spots and even some shooting guard most nights. To me, that ability to play - and thrive - anywhere is the epitome of what a "sixth man" is.

Probably too late, but I'm gonna throw Greg Anthony into the mix.
Started only 21 out of 77 games.
25 minutes 8.4 points 3.2 rebounds 3.7 assists 1.3 steals
Second on the Raptors with a +/- of .7 (Huge for a team with a losing record)
