THIS. Stupid ass trade and concept jersey threads. I think they were pissed that the Sim League was more active than the roost.I think it got to them a little honestly. Not being a dick but when I first joined up I was like "Sim League, really?" To be fair I didn't know what a sim league was and knew no one but kept getting new posts updated on my phone and shit and it looked like a hell of a lot of fun. Plus you guys actually had a decent head in talking about the Pelicans, no one was that uber fan (CHAMPONSHIP OR BUST) and there was a Lakers fan loose (hmmmm wonder who that was again)My main gripe is the moderation. HunnyB is awesome, forget her new name. PELICANFAN can give a blumpkin to uncle Tucan's dick for all I care WATCH IT!!!!!!

I would just check the scores and that's it. My reason for that was I thought everyone one the site was just like the Majority of the people in the Nest/Roost. So when there were trade request or General League chat convo I would not post anything. I am glad I had a change of heart.

AC Green and Scott Williams were who I would've taken if Johnny Dawkins hadn't been there.

Pick is in.
Willie Anderson to serve as sixth man and backup SG/SF.
I didn't like anything at PF.

Just for the heck of it, here was how I rated the first 29 players on my board (in other words, guys that I felt would be picked in the first round); the underlying formulas have been revised a few times during the draft, so picks I got right before (e.g., Stockton) I may no longer have right:
1. Michael Jordan (Went: 1 to the Jazz) 2. David Robinson (Went: 3 to the Knicks) 3. Scottie Pippen (Went: 5 to the Wizards) 4. Hakeem Olajuwon (Went: 4 to the Suns) 5. Karl Malone (Went: 8 to the Kings) 6. Magic Johnson (Went: 10 to the Hawks) 7. Clyde Drexler (Went: 6 to the Timberwolves) 8. Chris Mullin (Went: 12 to the Bulls) 9. Larry Bird (Went: 7 to the Nuggets) 10. John Stockton (Went: 14 to the Mavericks) 11. Charles Barkley (Went: 15 to the Cavaliers) 12. Patrick Ewing (Went: 11 to the Pacers) 13. Kevin Johnson (Went: 13 to the Lakers) 14. Shawn Kemp (Went: 9 to the Warriors) 15. Jeff Hornacek (Went: 23 to the Pelicans) 16. Derrick Coleman (Went: 19 to the Raptors) 17. Terry Porter (Went: 25 to the Blazers) 18. Gary Payton (Went: 2 to the Heat) - Biggest reach (I know FBB rates Payton highly. I have issues with the fact that his scoring and rebounding are below average even taking into account his position) 19. Dominique Wilkins (Went: 31 to the Bucks) 20. Reggie Miller (Went: 17 to the Pistons) 21. Dennis Rodman (Went: 18 to the Celtics) 22. Tim Hardaway (Went: 16 to the 76ers) 23. Ron Harper (Went: 30 to the Nets) 24. Rod Strickland (Went: 29 to the Nets) 25. Mitch Richmond (Went: 21 to the Sonics) 26. Detlef Schrempf (Went: 49 to the Hawks) - Biggest drop (and yes, I was happy about it) 27. Nick Anderson (Went: 24 to the Clippers) 28. Hersey Hawkins (Went: 27 to the Rockets) 29. Reggie Williams (Went: 34 to the Blazers)
Interesting to me is that I got things mostly right - only 4 players on my board slipped to the second round (and three of those four went 1, 2, and 5 in round two I didn't see them as enormously bad reaches). The four first-round picks that weren't in my top 29 were:
30. Brad Daugherty (went: 26 to the Grizzlies) 31. Dell Curry (went: 28 to the Bucks) 33. Mark Price (went: 22 to the Spurs) 34. Glen Rice (went: 20 to the Magic)
(i.e., all four of them were in my top 5 picks for round 2).
I will be analyzing how I did in guessing at round 2 in a bit.
