Well I needed a starting center and PF. I almost got Alton Lister but then double-checked the list and saw McHale. He doesn't fit the age group of the rest of the starters but oh well.

I drafted McHale. I hope he wasn't already picked. I almost picked him. It was between him and Chambers. I decided to go the Chambers route tho. The players I had on My list as potential draft picks all were pick before my turn.

I wish I drafted a shooter at SF instead of Chris Morris since I already have shooters in Hersey and Kenny Smith with McHale in the post. I thought about getting Dale Ellis but felt he was too weak defensively and rebounding at SF and more of a SG.

Sorry 78, it's not your fault we both have good tastes in players. I just hate picking after you cuz you always make sound and well thought out picks.

Yeah I had two almost back to back picks in the end of 1st and beginning of 2nd... but having these late round picks in rounds 4 and 5 to close out my roster's starting 5 is BRUTAL.

Dawkins is a starting PG in this league. He's a good player. Started for the Sixers on their playoff teams in the late 80s with Barkley and Hersey Hawkins.

Kersey I was surprised to see on the board, and I'm not all that surprised you jumped on him, scar (PM notwithstanding). I was looking hard at him for next round myself.
The McHale pick is another of those "great short-term player because he's old" picks, but the board now is really getting to the point where people have to decide whether they want "young, okay players" and "noticeably older but also noticeably better" players.

McHale would've been really hard to pass on, but Dawkins was almost the biggest need. Especially considering the dip in passing ratings in PGs after Dawkins. He was the most complete of the remaining ones when I could (will have to) find a filler at PF.

Dawkins ranked VERY high on my board. He was definitely one of the best overall value picks at the time.
