With the acquisition of Avery Johnson from the Knicks in the offseason, and Joe Dumars, that's a fairly significant change in the back court to play with a top 5 player in the game in Charles Barkley. What do you feel are the positives and negatives those 2 bring to the table that can help the Cavs excel in not just 1991 but in future years to come?

We are extremely excited about those two acquisitions, along with Moses Malone. We felt that last year Barkley had to shoulder the scoring load most of the year so now he has help. In Avery we feel we got a guy who can be a good defender at his position and can distribute the ball extremely well. Which we lacked last year as well.

Where do you project yourself in the Central division? You have made good trades to bring in talent to help Barkley win now and I think a much better squad than you had last season. But you still play with the competitive Hawks, Bucks, and Pacers plus the upcoming younger teams. Injuries aside do you think you have a division winner?

Great question. We made the moves that we feel will help take us to the top. It will not be easy as you said. The Hawks are defending champions and the Bucks made some very nice moves this off-season as well. To answer you question yes we feel like winning this division is definitely in reach. We will not stop there though, a championship is our ultimate goal this season.

With the moves made this offseason, the cavs figure to be an offensive juggernaut. But they also seem to be very weak on defense. Do you believe your team has enough offensive power to simply outscore teams like the hawks, bucks, and Knicks or are you expecting your team to step up on d?

Thanks you for your question.
We feel that this team can outscore anyone, but the team is also working extremely hard in training camp on defense. We will be a fun team to watch that's for sure.

A lot of people are asking about the regular season, which is nice; but it's clear that making the playoffs and a divisional push isn't really the goal here. We also know any championship hopes will have to go through Atlanta. How do you feel you matchup with that team position by position in a 7 game series? How about Milwakee?
Who do you think could a surprise team to come out of the East and make some noise that no one is expecting?

How comfortable do you feel on the perimeter outside of Joe Dumars? What are you looking for from the rest of the perimeter players?

Good question.
Atlanta, Milwaukee, and new York are the top dogs from last year. They are all very talented teams, but we feel confident that this team would be able to take them in any series. A team we have on our radar it waould have to be The Toronto Raptors. They made some nice moves and have quietly build a contender.

William Maukie, Sr.: Greetings from Milwaukee Bucks Sports Journal; I'm sports editor William Maukie, Sr. It is nice to hear you give respect to the Hawks and the Bucks for their offseason moves. Do you feel confident in the talent on your team to unseat these two powerhouses in the Central Division? I, for one, think your organization's off-season has been one of the more successful ones, Congrats!

Nice to see you here. I definitely have the utmost respect for those 2 organizations. I believe our team has the talent to move ahead of them this year, but regular season isn't where we want to make our mark. Our goal is a championship this year.
