I cannot believe we are already a month into the season. The offseason was full of moves both exciting and dull, head scratching and sneaky smart, but I'm glad it's all over I'm glad I finally have basketball to watch instead of tracking free agent signings, reading and re-reading and trying to make sense of Restricted Free Agency, and watching highlight videos of college players even though my Celtics had the last pick in the draft and were sure to end up with a dud.
BUT...with all that being said I'm not writing a column about the actual games being played today, I'm not because sources tell us at page 2 that there will be a coaching change. Normally I don't like to divulge into the rumor mill but my source is so strong on this I felt I needed to write about it. It looks like former Cavs GM Jhow, may be running a team sooner than any of us originally thought. There is still a bit of mystery surrounding what happened to Jhow and the Cavs a few seasons ago apparently his identity was stolen, I don't know if that means he was kidnapped, went crazy and lost his mind or what, but it did unfortunately cost him his team (who currently have KG, a rookie with HOF potential)
My source tells me that Jhow will be taking over the Bulls after janjanjan (who is also rumored to be out of the country, hopefully identity in tact) has basically taken the end of last season off, followed that up with showing up to the draft grizzly and unshaven to make his selection spoke to no one else other than to say his selection, Brent Barry, would not be traded and then promptly left in 1987 Cadillac Deville. The Bulls then signed nobody in Free Agency despite having over 13 Million in cap space (enough to offer two max contracts), and finished up the trifecta by not helping his team come up with a gameplan for the first month of the season. I've heard this complete lack of competitiveness or activity has given the league office no choice but to award the Bulls to JHow who has sat by patiently waiting for a team to open up. I'm sure there will be much more to the story, but while we wait for the details to come out, we can only wish a fond farewell to janjanjan and welcome back Jhow.
