Krikey! I've got a few extra hours to kill today after my early afternoon plans were cancelled so I've decided to go in search of the rarest of the rare in sim league just to find out what the rarest commodity of all truly is. Would you care for an adventure? Let us begin shall we! First things first I will put every player in the entire league into a spreadsheet. Secondly, I will look at different categories (PSD,PRD,INS, etc.....) and find the elite in each. I have decided that since 85 is our cap for training players, that I will use all players with a rating of 85 or larger. Next we will cop are selected categories against each other to find our true Nessie. Lets go! But first be very careful of the natives. They can get mighty restless. Also that Dysentery is a bitch! But here we go! PRD vs PSDThis seemed like the logical starting point. What is the harder to find, perimeter D or Post D? On our travels we have come across 7 elite Perimeter Defenders (in order) Gary Payton Michael Jordan Mookie Blaylock Stacey Augmon Scottie Pippen Muggsy Bogues Greg Anthony But even harder to find were the only 6 elite Post Defenders in the league. (led of course by the incomparable Mr. Kemp.) Shawn Kemp David Robinson Alonzo Mourning Shawn Bradley Hakeem Olajuwon Dale Davis Winner: PSD
INS v 3PS
What is the rarest scorer in the league? INS? (14) Shaquille O'Neal Shawn Kemp David Robinson Hakeem Olajuwon Michael Jordan Stacey Augmon Chris Webber Tim Hardaway Patrick Ewing Latrell Sprewell Dennis Scott Kevin Johnson Karl Malone Mitch Richmond or 3PS? (23) Dennis Scott Hubert Davis Mark Macon Dell Curry Mike Iuzzolino Reggie Miller George McCloud Mitch Richmond Tracy Murray Kenny Smith Glen Rice Wesley Person Steve Kerr Chris Mullin Anthony Peeler Terry Mills Mark Price Rex Chapman Drazen Petrovic Jeff Hornacek Terry Porter Matt Bullard Hersey Hawkins Winner: INSBut what if JPS broke in and stole the show? (17) Mario Elie Hubert Davis Kevin Gamble Kenny Smith Jeff Hornacek Steve Smith Glen Rice Dell Curry Rex Chapman Gary Payton Drazen Petrovic Reggie Miller Mark Price John Stockton Muggsy Bogues Dennis Scott Michael Jordan INS still wins.

Interesting, If I would have lowered my criteria to 80, there would be only 11 PRD and 13 PSD. So is PSD truly the hardest to find? That's for you the viewer to decide.

Hunt log: Day 2 After being kidnapped by a pack of wild Mande' women and worshipped as their God and made to suck the flappy teet, I have become fluent in their native language Mandingo. I lived amongst them and learned their ways and customs. With my newfound knowledge of the language I was able to begin my next adventure where I could easily ask the other tribes for directions in their native Mandingoan tongue. This helped me find an old exploring companion, Smarcus, who was about to be roasted as a pig by the cannibalistic Mbundu tribe. With some clever negotiating, I was able to free Smarcus from capture by trading his life for a bag of Funyuns which have now become the Mbundu's favorite food. Smarcus and I were now ready to begin our search for the legendary rebounders of the Congo. This is our findings: ORB (16)Dennis RodmanShawn KempShaquille O'NealHorace Grant Shawn Bradley Alonzo Mourning Charles Oakley Ervin Johnson Pervis Ellison Rony SeikalyCedric Ceballos Marlon Maxey Adam Keefe David RobinsonChris Dudley Anthony Bonner DRB(9)Dennis RodmanShaquille O'NealShawn KempTom Gugliotta Hakeem Olajuwon Karl Malone David RobinsonRony SeikalyClarence Weatherspoon Our exploration concludes that DRB is much harder to find than ORB. But if you can find a player that is elite in both categories, and there appears to be only 5 of them (italicized above), then you truly have a Yeti in your possession.
