Welcome to the L.A. Clippers preseason press conference. We would like to first address last season before discussing the off season.
Last season, we finally made the playoffs as the 8 seed. We faced a real challenge against the number 1 seed Rockets, and we kept several games close. Let's be honest though, they were significantly better than us last season. With that being said, I am very proud of the way my guys fought in that series.
During the off season, we only lost our starting center Brad Lohaus. We wish Brad all the luck with his new team. With the rest of our team, we feel like we are in position to improve upon last season. We signed Derek Harper, Dennis Rodman, and Dennis Hopson to give us some rebounding and defense. We are really excited about having these guys with us this year. We do understand that we are not going to run an offense with a "true" center and a "true" small forward at this time, but we may address those needs later on.
With that said, I open the floor to your questions.

You mentioned that you don't have a "true" center or small forward. So, who have you selected for those starting roles? And Nick Van Exel saw a lot of time at SG last season. Will he reprise that role, or will you have him return to the PG spot?

Thank you for your question. Nick van Exel saw some time at the SG position last year. Our team this year will have him going to his natural PG position where he will "Exel"(sorry had to do it). Terry Mills will start at the C position where he has a lot of experience.

Which of your lacking positions would you consider to be more important to address, C or SF? How will you be able to control all of the personalities in the locker room? What are your goals going into this season?
How does it feel waking up every day knowing that you are a piece of shit, no-good person that has nothing positive to contribute to the world?

Sports Guy Bill Simmons here, do you plan on experimenting with some outside of the box type game plans due to not having traditional positions. Do you think you could exploit certain matchups to your advantage in a 7 game series in the playoffs if the roster stays the same until the end of the season?

Center would be the more important one because it is difficult to find a good Center at this time. I have a few SF that could play the position, and Sprewell played that position great last year. I contributed a positive HIV test last weekend, so that is one positive I contribute.

I will experiment throughout the year on different game plans. I feel like I could exploit certain match ups with teams, but I could also get myself in trouble with other teams. It will be an interesting season for me. If it does not work out well, I do have a true C and true SF on my team that I can also put in the starting line up and get more minutes from. I would severely lack certain parts of my game in that case though.

The Reverend Percy Fuccoff would like to know what would have to happen for you to consider this coming season a success?

Where do you see yourself finishing in the Pacific? Do you feel like your team is ready to pump some new blood into that logjam at the top?
