Fans line the streets from the Garden to Copley Square in Boston to celebrate the newly crowned Champions
As the Garden prepares to find new places to start hanging more banners
GM Roy: The young guys Toni Kukoc and Alonzo Mourning celebrate with the trophy. It's not every year a rookie and a 2nd year player play such a pivotal role in a championship season.
GM Roy: Clyde Drexler, the veteran leader, who had to step up after injury after injury didn't walk away from the title healthy either as he sprained an ankle in game 6 after playing only 5 mins, joined Mitch Richmond and Bimbo Coles on the sideline as they could only watch as their teammates continued to fight for the title.
Clyde: BOSTON!!! Can you believe it!?! I know when Mitch went down a lot of people counted us out. It even shook us, but we knew we wouldn't go down without a fight. It took every last one of us, as you can see we are all a little banged up. Bimbo's leg is still broken, Mitch still can't be in daylight without prescription sunglasses, my ankle is a little hobbled, and even ol Armen Hammer has a bruised face. But we did it!!
GM Roy: First off I want to congratulate the Los Angeles Lakers it was a hard fought series that really could have gone either way and we were fortunate that it went ours. Hats off the a deserving competitor that we know will be making noise for the foreseeable future. But what can we see about this Celtic team. Alonzo in just his second year in the league has already been to two finals, winning this one. It's not very often when you have a team full of veterans and future hall of famers that a 24 year old second year player is your leader, but there is little doubt as to who is the heart and soul of this team. And what about Terry Porter, he comes off the bench all year and in the first round is forced to start. He and Bimbo wreaked havoc in the backcourt with their speed and then when Bimbo went down Terry had to run the offense with Clyde, and then Clyde goes down in the final game 6 and Terry responds by scoring 27 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, getting 5 assists with 0 turovers. I still can't believe we are here celebrating this title, but we are I'll be here and so will all of the players for any questions.
